Join us November 9th from 9am-Noon as we plant trees in West Hamilton to improve habitat for salmon and other animals.
Please dress for the weather, and wear shoes that can get muddy. We’ll provide gloves, tools and hot drinks/snacks!
The meeting point will be this parking lot: 48.523289, -121.999206. (Google map) It’s not a huge parking lot, maybe only room for 5 cars, so the rest of the parking will be along the sides of the road on 1st St around the lot. Please don’t park too far west close to the bend in the road, as other drivers frequently drive really fast around that bend. From the parking lot, the planting area is a short walk north (across the street) over relatively easy terrain to approximately here: 48.524821, -121.998162. The walk in to the planting area will take folks through a planting that was completed in 2018, so you will be able to see what the trees that you’re planting will look like in 5 or so years!
