On June 27th, we’ll be treated to a presentation by executive director of the Pacific Whale Watch Association, Erin Gless. Erin will be sharing her knowledge about killer whales around the world, including offshore (shark-eating) killer whales, Bigg’s (mammal-eating) killer whales, and, of course, the salmon-eating resident killer whales, particularly the endangered Southern Residents. We’ll also learn about the main threats to the Southern Residents (toxicants, vessels, and lack of prey), as well as ways to help address these threats.
The presentation will be held via Zoom on June 27th from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.
