Nestled in on either side of the Deception Pass Marina, the Cornet Bay planting project has restored shoreline habitat at Deception Pass State Park. In 2012-2013, native shoreline vegetation was planted to enhance one acre of nearshore/beach habitat. In the fall of 2015, NWSF completed restoration of an additional 300 feet of shoreline at the Cornet Bay Phase 2 site.
Both Phase 1 and Phase 2 sections of the planting need your help to continue to thrive with bi-monthly weeding and watering volunteer parties.
Join us at this beautiful site to help pull weeds, water plants and learn about some native beach plants.
